While boating is an incredibly popular activity in our community, you don’t have to own a boat to enjoy the harbour! The harbour is pretty versatile, it can be used for fishing, kayaking*, sail kayaking, paddleboarding*, pontoon tours, or even odd lazy cocktail cruise. These are just a few of the things we can use the harbor for. Swimming in the harbor however, is not recommended. *Wexford owns 5 paddleboards, 4 single kayaks and 2 double kayas for member us
Our harbour is pretty unique. We are the largest marina, by area, on the island; we have the second greatest number of slips (135), and if we add those docks behind houses we have the largest capacity over all, 280 berths. To learn more about our harbour, call (843) 686-8813.
We don’t take Easter celebrations lightly here at Wexford! We offer an entire weekend of festivities, from our Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Carnival (Saturday) to our Grand Easter Buffet (Sunday).
This year’s Easter Spring Carnival was complete with two bounce houses, an inflatable basketball shoot, an inflatable slide, face painters and popcorn, as well as our of course our Easter Egg Hunts and the Easter Bunny himself. Our Easter Egg Hunts were divided into three age groups (5 & under, 5-10 and 10+), each with their own area and own eggs. And just like Willy Wonka, we had golden eggs, which had special prizes. With over 100 children, it was quite the celebration!
Just as popular as our Spring Carnival was our Easter Grand Brunch Buffet. We had record attendance since reopening the Clubhouse in 2010, with 349 members and their guests. The buffet itself was nothing short of amazing- ice sculptures, decorated turkey, carving stations and more!
With the professional golf season officially underway, it only seems appropriate to highlight our golf course. The original 18-hole Wexford Course opened in 1983. Following an extensive renovation, led by legendary golfer and respected golf course designer Arnold Palmer, Wexford unveiled its remarkable Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course in 2011. After the renovation, each hole on the par-72 course retained a distinctive and timeless look, while adding numerous risk and reward challenges that require thought, imagination and a well-honed short game.
