Art of Wexford

Last weekend Wexford, along with Wexford’s Event & Travel Club (ETC), hosted Art of Wexford. The evening was designed to showcase the many talents of our neighbors and friends – painters, photographers, knitters, quilters, bakers, candle-stick makers and oh-so much more!

The event began at 6 pm with art exhibits, Arts IQ games and even paint stations! Dinner followed at 7 pm, which featured Cézanne Free Range Chicken Stuffed with Spinach, Herbs and Fresh Cheese – OR – Monet Triggerfish with Lemon, Capers and Tomatoes, served with Picasso’s Early Summer Tomato Salad with Burrata Cheese, Basil Lemon Oil and Prosciutto Crisps; Early Summer Vegetables; Smashed Fingerling Potatoes with Scallions; and dessert (of course!)- Palette Cookies and Paint Brush Cakes.

The Van Gogh cocktails were flowing and crayons were coloring – it was a night full of colorful inspiration!   To see more pictures from the event, visit our Facebook page.

March Madness

Can you believe it’s already the end of the month?!  With the warm spring weather, new activities/events and holidays, the Club has been bustling with excitement – so it’s no surprise March came and went in the blink of an eye!  Today we’re recognizing #ThrowbackThursday, and taking a look at all Wexford had to offer in the month of March.

Holiday Celebrations //
St. Patrick’s Day: St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated in style in the Hilton Head Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade!  Wexford teamed up with The First Tee of the Lowcountry to decorate a joint float. The day was filled with fun by adults and children alike!  Following the parade, Wexford hosted its annual St. Patrick’s Pub Night at the Clubhouse – with some traditional Irish favorites!

Easter Weekend: We kicked off the holiday weekend with a Good Friday Fish dinner. The next morning we had our annual Easter Spring Carnival – which included bounce houses, sand art, corn hole, jenga, hula hoops, face painting – and an egg-stra special visit from the Easter Bunny!  Following the Spring Carnival, we had family BBQ cookout.  Then Sunday morning, we had the grand finale of festivities (drum roll please…), Easter Brunch, serving more than 300 members and their family.

Guest Bartender Night: Two lucky members threw their hat in the running for a chance to join Kenrick behind the bar!  It was a spirited night for sure!!

Other dining events included Tuscan Symphony Under the Stars and Benvenuti Wexford Ristorante Italian Night.

Our special events didn’t stop at the Clubhouse!  We had a Cruising Seminar presentation at the Harbour Center, as well as our first Docktails of the year!  Golf hosted a number of events including the Carolina’s PGA RBC/Head Pro Championship, WWGA Spring Opener, Men’s Interclub, Ladies Team Matches, a variety of clinics and a JoFit Trunk Show.  The Tennis Center hosted their Mixed Doubles Championship and Croquet had national teaching professional, Bob Kroeger, onsite for instruction.
